Where Each Service Fits in Your Operation
Most farms need at least one of these services. Many benefit from two or all three working together. The monthly recordkeeping service provides the foundation that makes tax preparation and inventory reconciliation significantly easier at year end.
You can start with what's most pressing and add services as it makes sense. Each is available individually with no requirement to take the others.
Monthly Service
Farm Financial Recordkeeping
$700 USD / month
Year-round bookkeeping tailored to the agricultural cycle. We track crop and livestock income, input costs including seed, feed, fertilizer, and fuel, equipment expenses, and land-related payments. Monthly reports are structured around your production calendar rather than standard fiscal periods.
Suitable for family farms, multi-operator partnerships, cooperatives, and agricultural businesses of all scales.
Annual Service
Agricultural Tax Preparation
$1,200 USD
Preparation of tax returns addressing the specific provisions available to farming operations. This includes income averaging, prepaid farm supply deductions, self-employment considerations for farm operators, and depreciation of agricultural equipment and structures.
We review records for applicable deductions and credits, prepare all required schedules including Schedule F, and handle electronic filing. Available for individual farmers, farm partnerships, and cooperative structures.
Annual Service
Crop & Livestock Inventory Accounting
$1,000 USD
Valuation and recordkeeping for agricultural inventories — including raised and purchased crops, livestock held for sale or breeding, and stored commodities. We apply appropriate valuation methods including cost, market, and farm-price method depending on the asset type.
Year-end inventory schedules are prepared to support both tax reporting and financial statements. Includes reconciliation of inventory changes against production and sales records.

Which Service?
A Few Questions to Help You Decide
My books are disorganized and I'm not sure what I owe at any given time.
The Farm Financial Recordkeeping service addresses this directly. Monthly bookkeeping structures your income and expenses in a clear, production-aligned format so you always have a current picture of where the farm stands financially.
I have my own bookkeeper but I'm not confident the tax return covers all the farming provisions.
The Agricultural Tax Preparation service can work from records your existing bookkeeper maintains. We review the records, identify applicable agricultural provisions, and prepare all required schedules.
My inventory — crops in storage and livestock — is hard to value accurately each year.
The Crop & Livestock Inventory Accounting service applies the correct valuation method to each asset type and reconciles changes against your production records. The year-end schedules it produces integrate cleanly with your tax return and financial statements.
I need everything — ongoing recordkeeping, tax filing, and inventory tracking.
All three services are available together and are designed to work in combination. Monthly recordkeeping provides the structured data that makes tax preparation and inventory accounting significantly more efficient at year end. Contact us and we can discuss a combined approach.
